Beschreibung: Very representative in Tenerife, La Rana is distinguished by its splendid air conditioned spaces where diners remain for long periods over pleasant chats. At lunchtime, the best tables are found on the terrace, in the evenings the wide salons are packed. As well as regional cheeses and Iberian meats, the expressive chefs are inclined towards a timeless international kitchen, which is continually updated. Their ingredients are first class and the wines are renewed as soon as new outstanding labels appear. Although the fish compares well to the meat (cod for example giving the feeling for loyal Basque recipes) the grilled meats are wonderful. There are dishes of octopus, squid, prawns, grouper filet with Canarian mojo sauce. beef rump steak roasted at the table, royal salmon, grilled or poached, crunchy roast leg of lamb, Argentinean style meat grills, luxuries such as "Chateaubriand Santiago"....

Good food but service must be improved. From visiting this restaurant many times before, it feels like too much relies on
past glories than renewing and improving a successful restaurant. I would be thinking hard before coming back.

Restaurant La Rana in Playa Las Americas, Tenerife, is a great place to eat out when visiting Tenerife. A great place for dining, but also great athmosphere and enterainment. Thank you La Rana!

Excellent food - Chateaubriand Santiago is a fantastic dish. Every time we go to Tenerife this is a must. Lovely staff, lovely food and wine and a really really friendly place. Top quality and very enjoyable. Looking forward to another visit in Jun 2010

Haven eaten there a number of times before over the years, and just a few days before, and having enjoyed the food, we went there again on December 31.
It was very busy but there were still a few tables left.
The first surprise was the card. The food and wine was the same but all prices were increased with about 30% for new years eve. For this extra money the food was serviced much faster than usually (to clear the table as fast as possible?), and the leg of lamb was definitely smaller than before. This place was just cashing in on the last day of the year. They will never see me again.

Great location, service, food and value for money. Staff are very friendly and couldn't do enough for the 4 of us, including my sister-in-law who is wheelchair-bound. In total, we ate in La Rana 12 times!

THIS IS A QUALITY RESTAURANT,ONE OF THE BEST IN THE AREA, FRIENDLY ATTENTIVE STAFF, WITH A HIGH STANDARD OF CUISINE,THE MEAT DISHES IN PARTICULAR BEING EXCELLENT.SPANISH ATMOSPHERE AND THE LOW KEY LIVE MUSIC ENHANCE THE EVENING.
