After my visit to Tenerife, there is one place I would like to comment on; Restaurant La Estancia in Chayofa is probably one of the best restaurants I have visited for a long time. As an American visiting the beautiful island of Tenerife, I recommend this restaurant highly!

Desde luego uno de los mejores en Tenerife. Fuimos a celebrar nuestro cumpleaños. Unos amigos hicieron su boda ahi, y nos gusto mucho la comida y el ambiente. Fuimos una noche a cenar los dos, y entre el ambiente, los camareros super profesional y sympaticos. La cena fue un regalo para los sentidos. Todo un exito de cocina. Volveremos!

As a resident of Tenerife now for over 7 years I have always regarded La Estancia as my favourite restaurant on the island. A little pricey and small portions but always a gastronomic delight. The combinations of flavours have always made this place special,but no more! I do not know who is the chef now, but he/she is not up to the task.
I took 9 family members there yesterday and found it very, very dissapointing.

¡Que cocina! Cada plato es una obra de arte. Tenemos un gran restaurante Francés aquí, en la Isla de Tenerife, como que si fuese en Paris. Todo tiene sorpresas, los platos de base mediterránea vienen compuestos de unos sabores sorprendentes y evocadores. Nada mas ver la artística presentación del plato presientes que algo va ocurrir. Probar el lomo de salmón ahumado en una nube de hinojo... veras. La creatividad de los platos es impresionante. Veo que tienen una promoción, reservare mesa. La Estancia esta en La Chayofa a 5 minutos de Los Cristianos.

Me and my wife have been visiting Tenerife for the last 20 years, since we first found restaurant La Estancia some years ago, we make sure we come back to this fabulous restaurant everytime we visit Tenerife.
