Beschreibung: A clear exponent of the blessings of this land is that it is not essential to transfer to the Valencian community where marvelous rice dishes are offered. Faithful to our habit of eating well (and without losing sight of simple native food) in the Canaries we have learned all types of cooking techniques and the stir fry method for rice (the rice is fried for a couple of minutes so that it does not break up enabling it to absorb the taste of the caramelized ingridients) all kind of rice prepared as if we were on the mediterranean shores. The team led by Enrique Reina from La Hoya del Carmelo, offers us well thought out fish and herring dishes, roast lamb or pork, valencian paela, silky black rice, rice in stock with vegetables, lobster or shellfish. Cooking takes some 15 minutes whilst they incorporate the ingredients and fundamental touches of flavour and aroma allowing perfect time to prepare the stomach with delicious salads.
